The basics

What is PPTmatic?

It makes a PowerPoint template for your company or your own name. Type a name, pick a look, adjust it, and you get a real template with your colours, a typeface of its own and a full set of layouts.

Who is it for?

Startups, companies and people with a personal brand who want their presentations to look designed, without hiring a designer for every deck.

Do I need an account?

No. Your browser remembers your designs, and if you buy a template, Stripe asks for the email address to send it to.

Is it really PowerPoint?

Yes. You get a .potx template and .pptx decks, with real layouts, editable text and charts you can edit in PowerPoint.

Does it work with Keynote or Google Slides?

It’s made for PowerPoint. Keynote and Google Slides can open PowerPoint files, but we don’t test them, so layouts and fonts may change.

Free slides and buying

What’s free?

Making and adjusting a design, and four sample slides in that design to try in PowerPoint: a cover, a page of text, three points and a closing. Their fonts hold letters only, so numbers and punctuation show in another font. The whole font comes with the template.

Why can’t I choose which four slides?

They show what your design looks like. Your own deck comes with the template.

What do I get for $20?

The whole template with every layout, your whole deck with its charts, diagrams and notes, decks your AI writes as PowerPoint files, your fonts, and a design file for coming back to your design.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once for a design. Any VAT or sales tax that applies is included or added at checkout.

Why does my receipt say Typomat?

PPTmatic is made by the people behind Typomat, and sold through the same payment account, so your receipt and card statement may show that name.

Can I get a refund?

Your files are delivered straight away, so a purchase can’t normally be withdrawn. If a file doesn’t work, write to us and we’ll put it right or refund you. The Terms of Use have the details.

After you’ve bought

Can I keep editing?

Yes. Your slides stay free to edit, as often as you like.

Can I change the colours or typeface later?

Not on that design. A purchase covers one style: its name, colours, type, cover, logo and spacing. “Start a new style” makes a copy you can change, and that’s a new template when you want to keep it.

I’ve misspelled my name. What now?

Write to us and we’ll sort it out.

Can my team use it?

Yes. Share the template with colleagues, clients and suppliers working on that brand. For another brand or client, make a new design.

How do I open my design on another computer?

Open your .pptmatic file, or enter your code, on the Open your design page. Both come in the email with your template.

I’ve lost my file and code.

On the same page, choose “I’ve lost my file and code” and we’ll email them to the address you paid with.

What if someone else gets my link?

A bought design’s link opens nothing on its own: it needs the .pptmatic file or the code, so keep those to yourself. A design you haven’t bought opens for anyone with its link, so treat that link like a password. A deck’s review link is made for sharing, and shows only that deck.

AI tools

How does AI fit in?

Each design has an address that connects it to an AI tool. Add it to your tool, then ask for a deck. Your AI writes the content and picks the kind of each slide, and your template composes it, so a deck can only come out on-brand. You’ll find the address and how to set it up under AI, at the top of your design.

Do I need the template to use AI?

No. Your AI can make decks on any design, and you can review them for free. Downloading them as PowerPoint files comes with the template.

Which AI tools does it work with?

Any tool that can connect to a remote MCP server, an open standard. That includes Claude and Claude Code. ChatGPT can connect to custom MCP servers too, though what’s available depends on your plan, and you may need to turn on its developer mode.

Does PPTmatic use AI itself?

No. Designs and layouts are calculated by rules, and nothing you give us is used to train AI. If you connect an AI tool, your conversation with it is under that tool’s terms.

Fonts and Typomat

What’s Typomat?

Typomat is our font maker, and its engine generates the typefaces in your template. You don’t need a Typomat account or app to use PPTmatic.

Can I use the fonts for my business?

Yes, with a bought template. Use them commercially, with no royalties, for good. Your template carries them, and you also get the font files to install if PowerPoint shows another font. You just can’t sell them on their own. The Terms of Use have the details.

Is my typeface exclusive?

No. It’s generated for your design, but someone else could end up with one like it.

Your data

What do you keep?

Your design and its pictures, so that we can build your files, and if you buy, your email address and the sale. There’s no analytics or advertising. The Privacy Policy has all of it.

Can you delete my design?

Yes. Write to us with its address or code. We have to keep the accounting records of a sale, but not your design.
