Who you’re dealing with

PPTmatic is run by Marco Lüthi, Gutstrasse 172, 8055 Zürich, Switzerland (“we”). You can reach us at hi@luthi-mar.co. By using PPTmatic you agree to these terms.

What PPTmatic does

PPTmatic makes PowerPoint templates. You choose a look and adjust it, and we build a template file with your colours and typefaces. You can also connect an AI tool, such as Claude or ChatGPT, which writes decks on your template. You don’t need an account.

The free slides

You can download four sample slides in your design for free, to try it in PowerPoint. They’re the same four for every design, they carry only the layouts they use, and their fonts hold letters only, so numbers and punctuation show in another font. They’re for trying your design and for non-commercial use.

Buying a template

A template costs $20, once, in US dollars. Any VAT or sales tax that applies is included or added at checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe, and it isn’t a subscription.

We email your files to the address you give at checkout straight after you pay, and you can download them from the page you land on. Because the files are delivered straight away, by paying you agree that you can’t withdraw from the purchase once they’re delivered, as far as the law lets you agree that.

If a file doesn’t work, write to us and we’ll put it right or refund you. A full refund ends the purchase: its code stops working, and the rights below no longer apply. PPTmatic is sold through Typomat’s payment account, so your receipt and card statement may say Typomat.

What a purchase covers

A purchase covers one design, for one brand: the name, colours, type, cover, logo and spacing as they stood when you went to checkout. After that:

  • Your slides stay free to edit, as often as you like, for as long as PPTmatic runs.
  • The style stays as you bought it. Another style, or a template for another brand or client, is a new design and a new purchase.
  • If you’ve misspelled your name, write to us and we’ll sort it out.

What you can do with a bought template

You may use your template and everything you make with it for anything, commercial or not, worldwide, with no time limit and nothing more to pay. You may share it with colleagues, clients and suppliers working on that brand, and they may use it for that brand.

You may not sell or give away the template or its layouts as a template, offer them as a product or service of your own, or use them to make templates for other brands.

The fonts

Typefaces in your template are generated by Typomat, which is also ours. With a bought template, you may install them on as many devices as you need, use them commercially with no royalties, embed them in documents, and pass them on with your presentations and to the people working on that brand. You can keep using them for good. You may not sell them on their own, and they aren’t exclusive: someone else could end up with a typeface like yours. In the free slides they’re for trying your design only.

Your design file and code

A bought design opens with its .pptmatic file or its code, which work like a key. Anyone who has them can open the design, edit its slides and download its files, so keep them to yourself and share them only with people you trust. You’re responsible for what happens through them. If you lose them, we can send them again to the address that paid.

The same goes for a design’s address and its address for AI tools: anyone who has them can use them.

What you put in

Your logo, pictures, text and slides stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so far as we need to run PPTmatic for you. You confirm that you have the right to use what you upload, and that what you make doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights. We may remove anything that does.

Check that your name and logo are free to use before you rely on them. We don’t check trademarks, and we don’t promise that a design is unique to you.

AI and other tools

If you connect an AI tool, you use it under its own terms, and it’s up to you to check what it writes before you rely on it. We can’t promise that any particular tool or plan will connect. PowerPoint is a trademark of Microsoft, Claude of Anthropic and ChatGPT of OpenAI. PPTmatic isn’t connected with or endorsed by any of them.

What stays ours

The PPTmatic website, its design system and the Typomat engine stay ours, and these terms don’t give you rights to them beyond what’s written here. Please don’t attack the site, get round its limits, or try to get paid files without paying.

Availability and liability

We work to keep PPTmatic running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or that we’ll run it forever. The files you’ve downloaded keep working either way, so keep a copy. PPTmatic comes as it is, and as far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect damage or lost profits, and our liability for a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t let us limit, such as for intent or gross negligence.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy says what we keep and why.

Changes

A new version of these terms, with a new date at the top, applies to purchases and use after that date. What you’ve already bought keeps the rights it came with.

Law

Swiss law applies, and the courts of Zürich have jurisdiction. Any rights you have as a consumer in your own country stay unaffected.
